For one of my letsdrawsherlock submissions I had to do Sargent’s Portrait of Madame X. It is one of my favorite Sargent pieces not because of the execution but because Sargent did it specifically to stir shit at the 1884 Paris Salon. So of course, who better than Irene Adler to strike a similar pose? Maybe Moriarty…
